If a message you send is not immediately delivered to the recipient, Gmail
tries to send that message for up to 7 days. Messages may be delayed from
reaching a recipient's mailbox for a number of reasons. Delayed messages
are most commonly a result of large amounts of incoming email to the
recipient's server, or configuration and domain errors. At this time,
there is no way to automatically cancel delivery once a Gmail message has
been sent.
