学区不重要

那个Policy，一般州立大学都有，因为和政府有关系，私立大学就自由了，很多都没有。
 
如果你真的要让孩子上ivy，当然最好私立学校。中国人扎堆儿，又想省钱又想上好大学。上私立就面对很小的竞争了，就是说，拿钱来买“减少的竞争”。
 
我在facebook曾经贴过：
 
"Is private schooling worthwhile? As a point of reference, I compared college acceptances between my school district and a local private school. In 2009, 4 in 458 in the public school went to an Ivy league college; whereas 12 in 120 in the private school did. The tuition for the private school is 275K for 12 years. So, ...all else being equal, one can buy 10 times higher a chance for an Ivy league acceptance with 275K."
 
我的一个从很好的人文大学毕业的学生回的：
 
”As the local alum representative for a seven sisters school, I can tell you we only look at one or two public schools. We concentrate on the private ones. The students are better prepared."
